Attachment H Current Training Offerings
This document is a reference attachment provided by the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) related to Bid Solicitation #S-10000-00005379, outlining the current training curriculum offerings for the OEP-LET New Hire training program. ODHS has structured its new employee training into eight distinct courses designed to prepare staff working in Self Sufficiency Programs (SSP), Aging and People with Disabilities (APD), and Adult & Aging (AAA) divisions. The foundational course sequence begins with Foundations for Success, a two-week curriculum required for all new hires covering ODHS overview, customer service expectations, and basic technical skills in the ONE system. Subsequent courses include Support Staff Training (3 days) for administrative support roles, Eligibility Essentials (3 days) as a prerequisite for eligibility workers, and two advanced sections—Eligibility Section One and Eligibility Section Two—each comprising three weeks of classroom instruction plus two laboratory days. Additional specialized offerings include Services to Noncitizens (3 days) and Leadership ONE System Training (2 days). All courses incorporate pre- and post-classroom activities and online modules to supplement in-classroom learning.
The training curriculum is designed with a structured progression requiring completion of prerequisite courses before advancing to subsequent levels. Eligibility workers must complete Foundations for Success before attending Support Staff or Eligibility Essentials courses, and must finish Eligibility Section One before enrolling in Eligibility Section Two. The Services to Noncitizens course assumes prior completion of all other financial eligibility training. Leadership training is targeted at supervisors and recently promoted team leads. All courses are delivered through the ONE system platform and incorporate equity and multicultural perspectives, particularly in the noncitizen services training. The document explicitly states that this attachment is provided for reference only and is not submitted as part of a proposer's quote in OregonBuys, indicating it serves as informational material for potential training service providers responding to the solicitation.
