About this file

This document is a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy specification sheet for Midgrade Unleaded Automotive Gasoline (MUM) dated September 2023. The specification covers gasoline requirements for multiple countries, including Australia, Canada, Central American countries, the Philippines, Middle East regions, and others, with specific national stock number 9130-01-272-0983.

The specification details critical requirements for fuel delivery, including environmental compliance, octane specifications, and oxygenate blending standards. Key provisions include conforming to country-specific fuel quality standards, meeting seasonal Reid Vapor Pressure requirements, adhering to Motor Octane Number (MON) and Research Octane Number (RON) limits, and blending oxygenates through mechanical mixing or in-line blending prior to transport. The document emphasizes that suppliers must comply with the most stringent environmental requirements applicable at the delivery location, with provisions for potential equitable adjustments if compliance results in additional contractor costs.
