About this file

Attachment G is a Principal Place of Business Letter form for a state procurement solicitation, specifically related to Florida's statutory requirements for vendors bidding on public contracts. The document provides a template for bidders to declare whether their principal place of business is located within or outside of Florida, with specific legal and procedural requirements for out-of-state businesses. The form requires bidders to complete details about their business location and, if based outside Florida, obtain a legal opinion from an attorney licensed in their home state regarding any state-specific preferences for public contract awards.

The document implements Section 287.084(2) of Florida Statutes, which mandates that vendors with principal places of business outside Florida must submit a written legal opinion detailing any preferences granted to in-state businesses during public contract procurement. The form allows two primary options: (1) certifying a Florida-based business with a simple signature, or (2) for out-of-state businesses, providing a detailed legal assessment from a licensed attorney about potential state-level business preferences. Failure to complete the out-of-state section fully will result in the bidder being deemed non-responsive to the solicitation.
