Attachment F - Site Map with Gas Collection System

This file is a site map document for the closed Verona Landfill located in Dane County, Wisconsin, showing the existing landfill gas collection system infrastructure. The map, sourced from a CAD drawing dated November 2, 2022, displays the physical layout of the landfill facility at 4654 Maple Grove Drive, Verona, WI, with particular emphasis on the gas collection system (GCS) polygon boundaries and related infrastructure components. This site map serves as a technical reference document for the Infrastructure Upgrades and Solar Array Installation project being procured by Dane County's Department of Waste & Renewables. The map is essential for understanding the existing subsurface and above-ground infrastructure that must be integrated with the proposed 3.0 MW solar array development across approximately 50 acres of the landfill, utilizing four specific parcels (062/0608-141-8501-0, 062/0608-141-8021-1, 062/0608-141-9002-0, and 062/0608-141-9521-4).

The site map documents the current gas collection system configuration that historically supported two combustion engines generating 175 kW of power for nearby county facilities. Proposers responding to either or both categories of the RFP (released December 18, 2024, with proposals due February 18, 2025, at 2:00 pm) must carefully coordinate their solar array design and construction plans with the existing leachate collection system and gas collection infrastructure to maintain the landfill's environmental integrity and ensure compliance with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources requirements.
