Top News Whoville Resident Pleads Guilty to Stealing Christmas Presents
Doctor Suess said on the National Nightly News (1/15, lead story, 4:50, Suess, 8.4M), “Whoville resident A. Grinch pled guilty after running an organized porch pirate operation across the US. FBI agents arrested him on New Year’s Eve, meaning America’s children woke up to missing presents on Christmas morning. During the hearing, Grinch told prosecutors that he had to stop Christmas from coming. When asked why, he stated ‘I hate the noise! Noise! Noise!’”
Arnie Broadcaster on the Nation’s News Channel Evening News (1/15, lead story, Broadcaster, 3:45, 15M) reports, “A. Grinch employed hundreds of porch pirates and organized them using a sophisticated logistical platform he created. The network was vast and swift. He was just full of wonderful, awful ideas.”
America Reporting Internet News (1/15, Miller, 22.M) reports, “He stored his piles of stolen gifts on the side of Mount Crumpit and his assistant Max cataloged the inventory. It is unclear what he planned to do with all the gifts as there was no indication that he was attempting to fence them. His motivation for the operation was focused solely on hating Christmas.”

FBI Catches Most Wanted Criminal
The Potomac Post (1/15, Smith, 1M) reports the FBI Arlington Office captured most wanted criminal John Doe in an Arlington yoga studio. John Doe allegedly robbed 50 banks across the US, systematically making it through all 50 states within the last five years. The article mentioned the FBI Arlington Special Agent in Charge stated, “The FBI worked hard to solve this case. We couldn’t have done it without assistance from our state and local law enforcement partners.”
Roger Reportera said on the National Nightly News (1/15, lead story, 4:50, Reportera, 8.4M), “John Doe robbed banks in a high-tech operation. He had inside knowledge from his former job in the manufacturing of bank vaults and cash registers. These were Oceans 11-style jobs.”
America Reporting Internet News (1/15, Miller, 22.M) reported, “John Doe terrorized banks for far too long. Now the process of trying to find and return the money begins. Federal agents seized four yachts, 19 sports cars, and an exotic taxidermy collection. Many of the taxidermized animals were encrusted with precious gems.”
Most Wanted Criminal Catch Demonstrates Surprising Trend
The American Press (1/15, Macklin, 45M) reported, “The John Doe bank robberies represent a surprising trend. Bank robbers typically perform “note jobs” where the robber passes a threatening note to the bank teller. However, John Doe has inspired other bank robbers to copy him in his high-tech endeavors.
They are rarely successful.”
Banks Prepare New Strategies to Deter Bank Robbers After John Doe
Politica (1/15, Sandman, 13M) reports, “The FBI is building partnerships with banks across the US to deter John Doe copycats. While the FBI will not reveal details of how John Doe infiltrated so many banks, we know that the strategies involve even higher-tech methods of theft detection.”
Criminal FBI Arrests Florida Man Who Used Pet Alligator to Smuggle Drugs
Ron Arbuckle said on the National Nightly News (1/15, 1:30, Arbuckle, 8.4M), “FBI agents in Florida arrested a man who allegedly used his pet Alligator, Chompers, to smuggle cocaine. Jay Doe used Chompers as a drug mule on frequent trips from Mexico to Florida. Although Doe had a permit to transport Chompers between Mexico and the US, border authorities noticed Chompers didn’t look well on his most recent delivery. After further examination, a CBP officer found evidence of body packing and realized Doe was using Chompers for illicit activity. ‘I see Chompers each week when he passes through the border, like clockwork. He usually seems animated and happy to greet us. This time, he looked a bit green around the gills. We never thought to get too close to him before being an alligator and all, but this time, my gut told me Chompers was in trouble.’ Veterinarians were not able to save Chompers due to the amount of cocaine he swallowed.”
America Reporting Internet News (1/15, Rose, 22.M) reports, “A Florida man who allegedly used his pet alligator as a drug mule faces charges of drug trafficking and animal cruelty. FBI agents collected three tons of cocaine and body packing materials from the home of Jay Doe in Edgewater, Florida. They also confiscated the body his pet alligator, Chompers, for a toxicology analysis.”
FBI Solves Masked-Criminal Mystery with Help from Local Gang of Meddling Kids and Dog
The American Press (1/15, Turner, 45M) reported, “A group of four teenagers aided the FBI in solving the case of the Interstate Phantom. The teens were traveling the country in a van with their Great Dane when they discovered a phantom carjacker at interstate highway rest stops. After multiple encounters, the teens unmasked the Interstate Phantom and discovered a woman named Hanna Barbera. At her first hearing, Barbera pled guilty and said, ‘And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids.’”
The Potomac Post (1/15, Smith, 1M) reports, “The FBI Bethesda Office has been looking for the Interstate Phantom for three years. Barbera went from rest stop to rest stop, carjacking across the country. She had the country convinced she was an actual phantom. It wasn’t until a gang of hippie kids and their dog arrived that the mystery was solved. ‘Zoinks, I was terrified. We’ll make sure our dog gets extra snacks after this one,’ said one of the teens.”
