About this file
This document is Attachment E - Proprietary/Confidential Information Identification for a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) for Visitor Center Exhibit projects at Grayson Highlands, Staunton River State Park, and Staunton River Battlefield State Park. The RFP seeks proposals from contractors with a comprehensive understanding of visitor centers, exhibit principles and practices, as well as knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local requirements, funding, and regulations. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit are included in the RFP.
The RFP instructs offerors on how to properly identify any proprietary or confidential information in their proposal submissions. Offerors must invoke the protections of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act and provide a redacted version of their proposal with all proprietary information clearly identified by section and page number. DCR will not accept responsibility for any public disclosure of proprietary information that is a result of improper redaction by the offeror.
