About this file
This document is a Cost Proposal for K9 Patrol and Detection Maintenance Training Services, issued by the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) for a contract (C25803001) involving K9 training across Northern and Southern California. The proposal outlines comprehensive training services including Patrol Maintenance Training (25 sessions per year), Patrol Certification Training (2 sessions per year), Detection Maintenance Training (24 sessions per year), and Decoy (Agitator) Training (3 sessions per year). Each training session is designed to accommodate up to 25 K-9 Teams, with sessions taking place at California State Parks or nearby areas, and includes provisions for one trainer and one decoy per session.
The cost proposal structure allows bidders to quote a per-session rate that covers all associated expenses, including labor, equipment, materials, supplies, taxes, travel, and direct/indirect expenses. The contract term is three years, with flexibility for the state to request additional trainers or decoys beyond the base requirements. The pricing model includes line items for base training sessions, additional trainer/decoy availability, and a grand total calculation method. Bidders are instructed to fill in only specific columns (C and E) and are warned that illegible amounts may result in proposal disqualification. The document emphasizes that all costs should be calculated into a flat rate per session to comprehensively cover the training services.
