About this file

This is a technical specification attachment for RFQ 758 2200000035 issued by a state or local government agency for the procurement of a crappie trap net. The specification details the construction requirements for frame nets, leads, and associated components. The trap net consists of two 3' x 6' galvanized steel frames with 3/8 diameter springs and center braces, connected by four 2.5' diameter steel hoops spaced 24 inches apart. The frames are positioned 30 inches apart with the first hoop located 32 inches from the second frame. The second frame includes a slit throat measuring 3 inches on each side, with the first hoop also featuring a throat configuration. The net material specifications call for 1/4 inch square #126 knotless nylon with light tarring, and a cod end with a drawstring closure utilizing 5-foot #5 braided nylon string.

The leads component measures 3.5 feet deep and 70 feet in length, constructed from 1/4 inch square #126 knotless nylon hung at 18 mesh per foot on #60 nylon twine with light tarring. The leads are permanently attached to the second frame's center brace and include 2" x 1.5" (SB-2) floats spaced at 3-foot intervals along with 2.67 ounce (#6) tube weights spaced at 2-foot intervals. The specification explicitly requires tube weights rather than egg weights. No pricing information, contract terms, award dates, or response deadlines are provided in this technical specification document.
