About this file
This is a price sheet attachment for Brevard County's sealed bid procurement (B-2-26-09) for lightning protection system installations at two courthouse facilities in Florida. The project requires contractors to provide comprehensive labor, materials, equipment, and transportation to install lightning protection systems at the Melbourne Courthouse and Historic Titusville Courthouse. Bidders must submit separate lump sum pricing for each location, with the option to propose either a standard NFPA 780 Class I lightning protection system or an Early Streamer Emission (ESE) system. Mandatory pre-bid walk-throughs were conducted on January 8, 2026, with sealed bids due January 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Brevard County Central Services/Purchasing office. The contract includes a 30-calendar-day timeline for Substantial Completion and an additional 30 days for Final Completion from the Notice to Proceed. Contractors must hold UL or LPI certification and maintain a licensed electrical contractor to perform electrical work, along with appropriate building and general contractor licenses.
The price sheet requires bidders to provide lump sum costs for each component at both locations and indicates whether the company accepts ACH payment method. Brevard County will process payments according to the Local Government Prompt Payment Act (Section 218.70, Florida Statutes), and contractors may offer cash discounts for prompt payment, though such discounts will not influence award determination. Discount terms, if offered, begin from the date of satisfactory delivery and receipt of the correct invoice, whichever occurs last. Contractors must acknowledge receipt of all addenda and confirm understanding of all terms, conditions, insurance requirements, scope of work, and specifications. A 5% bid bond is required, and contractors must maintain $1,000,000 in General Liability and Auto Liability Insurance coverage. The contract requires a UL Master Label certification upon completion of the installation.
