About this file

This is a specifications document for supplies required under a cleaning services contract issued by the City of Pittsburgh Office of Management and Budget on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation. The document establishes detailed quality standards for nine categories of cleaning supplies to be used at Citiparks Centers, including paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, toilet seat covers, degreasers, hard surface cleaners, floor care products, carpet care products, disinfectants, and odor control products. All supplies must meet or exceed established environmental certifications, primarily GreenSeal or EcoLogo standards, with specific certification levels designated for each product category. Paper towels and toilet paper must contain minimum post-consumer recovered materials (40% and 20% respectively), and trash bags must contain a minimum of 10% post-consumer recycled content. The document specifies that all supplies must be compatible with existing dispensers and containers, with toilet paper limited to 2-ply products and paper towels requiring bleached material. The City reserves the right to modify specifications upon written notification to vendors.

The specifications emphasize environmental sustainability and green certification compliance across all supply categories, reflecting the municipality's commitment to environmentally responsible procurement practices. Disinfectants must be EPA-registered with guidance that they should only be used when necessary and required. The document provides reference resources for vendors to verify compliance with GreenSeal and EcoLogo standards through their respective websites and certification catalogs. No pricing information, set-aside provisions, contract term details, or renewal options are included in this specifications attachment.
