About this file
This is an attachment showing NEXRAD (Next-Generation Radar) coverage maps across the United States and its territories below 10,000 feet above ground level (AGL). The document consists of two main maps - a larger map of the continental United States and smaller maps showing coverage in Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Japan, and Korea.
The maps use a three-color scheme to indicate different coverage elevations: yellow for 3,000 ft above ground level, orange for 6,000 ft above ground level, and light blue for 10,000 ft above ground level. The maps show VCP 12 Coverage patterns and include radar sites marked with dots, indicating locations with Low Level Elevation Angle. Terrain blockage is noted where 50% or more of beam is blocked. The maps provide a scale in miles and include specific coverage patterns around each radar installation, showing how the radar coverage overlaps across different geographic regions.
