About this file

This is an Insurance Schedule document issued by the Nevada Risk Management Division (2nd Edition, effective May 9, 2016) establishing minimum insurance requirements for contractors performing Janitorial & Building Maintenance Services for the State of Nevada. The document outlines comprehensive coverage mandates that contractors and subcontractors must procure and maintain throughout contract performance, including any applicable warranty periods. The insurance requirements specified represent minimum coverage levels and do not limit indemnity obligations contained within the underlying contract. Contractors are permitted to obtain additional insurance coverage beyond these minimums if deemed necessary.

The required insurance coverage includes Commercial General Liability with a General Aggregate limit of $2,000,000, Products-Completed Operations Aggregate of $1,000,000, Personal and Advertising Injury of $1,000,000, and Each Occurrence limit of $1,000,000; Automobile Liability with a Combined Single Limit of $1,000,000 for owned, hired, and non-owned vehicles; Worker's Compensation at statutory rates with Employers' Liability limits of $100,000 per accident and $500,000 policy limit for disease; and a Fidelity Bond or Crime Insurance with a $50,000 policy limit. All policies must name the State of Nevada as an additional insured, be primary and non-contributory, and be issued by insurers licensed in Nevada with an A.M. Best rating of not less than A-VII. Contractors must provide certificates of insurance (ACORD form or equivalent) prior to work commencement and maintain coverage for the entire contract duration, with thirty days' prior written notice required for cancellation (ten days for non-payment). Failure to maintain required insurance or provide evidence of renewal constitutes material breach of contract. The State reserves the right to require complete, certified copies of all insurance policies and may modify insurance requirements through administrative action by the Attorney General's Office or Risk Manager without formal contract amendment.
