About this file

This is a Statement of Work for a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for wastewater pumping services at recreation sites within the Chippewa National Forest across Beltrami, Cass, and Itasca Counties in Minnesota.

The contractor must provide all equipment, personnel, materials, and supplies necessary to complete vault toilet and septic tank pumping services. Work shall occur annually between the day after Labor Day and October 31, unless otherwise noted in the schedule of items, with the contractor required to submit a written pumping schedule to the Contracting Officer's Representative two weeks prior to commencing work. Key service requirements include completely emptying all waste and trash from holding tanks and vault toilets, rinsing vault toilet tanks, and adding at least 100 gallons of clean water after pumping; disposing of all liquid and solid waste at state-licensed treatment facilities; immediately cleaning up any spills; and properly disposing of all trash pulled from tanks off Forest Service land. Some tanks and vaults require multiple annual pumpings as noted on the Schedule of Items List, and not every tank requires pumping each year—the COR will provide a written list in spring identifying which tanks require pumping that year. The contractor bears responsibility for protecting public safety, Forest Service personnel, facilities, and resources throughout the work. Site-specific inquiries should be directed to designated Forest Service representatives in four locations: Josh Krecklau, David Johnson (Walker), John Stewart (Blackduck), or Scott Ahlgren (Deer River).
