About this file

This is a Schedule of Items for a tank and vault toilet pumping contract with the Chippewa National Forest. The document outlines pumping requirements across five geographic areas: Marcell Area, Cut Foot Sioux Area, Blackduck Area, Norway Beach Recreation Area, and Walker/Remer Area. The contract spans a base year (2027) with four option years (2028-2031), with vendors required to submit quote amounts for each service line item.

Pumping services are divided into three frequency categories. The primary group consists of tanks to be pumped annually between the day after Labor Day and October 31, encompassing numerous single and double vault toilets, holding tanks, and septic systems across the forest's campgrounds and access points. A second category requires pumping once annually between the Monday of the last week of April and the Friday of the first week of May, limited to the Bimijiwan (Knutson Dam) host holding tank. The third category involves multiple pumping visits per year between Memorial Day and Labor Day, including fish cleaning stations, campground host tanks (300 gallons, pumped monthly June-September), RV dump stations, and specialized facilities. Sites marked with an asterisk (*) are to be pumped every other year or as scheduled on each year's work order. Vendors must provide proof of licensed/certified documentation, and quote amounts apply per vault emptying. The Forest reserves the right to provide an updated list of tanks/vaults annually, with the number of visits potentially varying year to year.

Quote amount is for each time the vault is emptied. The campgrounds are grouped to their general location and are provided for information only. Each year the Forest shall provide a list of tanks/vaults to be pumped. Number of visits required can vary each year. Vault toilets hold a maximum of approximately 1000 gallons; concrete toilet buildings are 1000 gallons; older wood frame buildings may be smaller. A double vault would have two tanks with separate access holes.

• Vendors are required to provide proof of licensed/certified documentation.

Sites noted with an asterisk (*) to be pumped every other year or as scheduled on each year’s work order, as necessary.
