Text version

Pressure testing

1. Remove a coupling located in the corner of the barge.

2. Insert a gauge/testing fixture.

3. Mix soap (Poseidon uses Dawn dish soap) with water in a weed sprayer type spray bottle.

4. Fill the barge with no more than 4psi of air.

5. Pressure test using 4psi and spraying every welded seam with soapy water. Mark out all leaks. Let the air out, and fix leaks. After leaks are fixed and properly cleaned recheck applying 4psi until leaks are fixed and the barge holds 4psi for 4 hours.
