Well Pump Replacement
Statement of Work
North Cascades National Park
Replace submersible well pump at Stehekin Landing. Provide all necessary parts, equipment, and labor to remove old pump, wiring, conduit, and pipe from casing, and replace with new. The replacement is to include pump, pump motor, plumbing, and electrical components.
The well is located at the Stehekin Landing, in Stehekin, WA, at the north end of Lake Chelan. The wellhead is inside a small well house, with a hatch in the roof allowing vertical access. The well is recorded at 85’ deep, with static water level at 35’ deep. It is unknown how deep the pump is currently set.
Stehekin is not on the road system. Access is by passenger ferry, private boat or aircraft. Large items, vehicles, and equipment come in by barge. Lodging is limited and fills quickly in summer months.

Equipment to be replaced:
Submersible pump 62 GPM 5HP, Grundfos 62S50-12 or equivalent. Products offered as equivalents must be compatible with all listed components to be retained. Equivalent products must meet and comport with the following specifications and salient characteristics.
Submersible pump motor 5HP, single phase 230V
2” galvanized threaded and coupled pipe, roughly 126’ needed.
2” check valve, Flomatic EVFD or equivalent.
8/3 with ground submersible pump wire, splice kit.
Miscellaneous plumbing, conduit, and electrical fittings.
All components need to be compatible with existing controller, which will be retained: Franklin Electric model 2821139310, see photo below.
