SCOPE OF WORK

CONSTRUCT “REPAINT WATER TOWER - BUILDING 86”

PROJECT #656-25-209

ST CLOUD VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

A. PART I – GENERAL

1. Base Project: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to tent and contain all hazardous silica and paint debris, spot sandblast all exterior components to near white metal, apply a prime coat, base coat, and a finish coat of paint to the exterior of the water tower at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center in compliance with the specifications. Additionally, contractor will restore the historic color white with blue “VA” on the four compass points. All work is to be performed in accordance with the project plans and specifications.

2. Deducts:

a. NONE

3. Work includes, but is not limited to:

a. Location: St. Cloud VA Medical Center; St. Cloud, MN

b. Water Tower, building 86; Repaint Water Tower: Work includes (exterior only), water storage facilities, sandblasting (to near white), painting (brush or roller on of prime, base, finish), and testing.

c. Contractor shall remove from the VA site and dispose of all equipment and materials not scheduled to be reused.

d. No, asbestos and/or lead finds are anticipated.

e. Contractor trade(s) anticipated: General.

f. Construction consists of but is not limited to: remove existing finish down to “near white” then repaint exterior finish of Water Tower, Building 86 to historic appearance of all white (#962) with navy blue (#PMS 541C) “VA” on the four compass points.

g. Contractor is to furnish all equipment and material needed in order to complete the contract.

h. Contract working hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding

Federal Holidays.

i. Contractor to describe phasing, off-hours, or major shutdowns.

The anticipated substantial completion of this project is 75 calendar days after “Notice to

Proceed” (NTP). There is a 60-day window after the Post Award Conference and prior to the

Notice to Proceed for badging related submission and processing, no additional expense will be allowed in regards to badging items hence-forth.

C. Cost Range:

The anticipated cost range for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.

D. Contractor must immediately notify their COR and Contracting Officer if contract performance is jeopardized due to contractor employees being denied entry into VA Facilities.
