1.0 Introduction
1.1 The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is the U.S. Department of Agriculture's chief scientific in-house research agency with the mission to deliver scientific solutions to national and global agricultural challenges. 1.2 The USDA, ARS Forage Seed and Cereal Research Unit, located in Corvallis, OR, has a requirement for an Irrigation Hose Reel.
2.0 Objectives
2.1 The USDA’s Forage Seed and Cereal Research Unit has a has a requirement for an Irrigation Hose
Reel capable of multi-directional watering from a single position with a 3.0-inch hose and a minimum
1,300 ft hose length capable of watering at least 1,300 ft x 150 ft area in a single pull of the sprinkler cart.
3.0 Specifications
3.1 Must be capable of irrigation at a minimum of 1,300 linear ft per pull with a minimum irrigation diameter of 150 ft.
3.2 The irrigation reel must be mounted on a trailer style frame with a turn table capable of multiple directional irrigation from a single set up position.
3.3 The irrigation reels must be driven by a flow turbine with electric controller.
3.4 The irrigation reels must have automatic brakes on the gear box for pulling out the sprinkler cart to avoid damage to the reel.
3.5 On-site service must be made available by the distributor.
4.0 Deliverable/Schedule
4.1 Delivery must be FOB to the Forage Seed and Cereal Research Unit, 3455 NE Granger Ave., Corvallis, OR 97330.
4.2 Delivery must be within 120 days after receipt of order (ARO).
