Generator Maintenance Services

1.0 Introduction
1.1 The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is the U.S. Department of Agriculture's chief scientific in-house research agency with the mission to deliver scientific solutions to national and global agricultural challenges. The ARS delivers cutting-edge, scientific tools and innovative solutions for American farmers, producers, industry, and communities to support the nourishment and well-being of all people; sustain our nation’s agroecosystems and natural resources; and ensure the economic competitiveness and excellence of our agriculture.
1.2 The USDA, ARS Dale Bumpers National Rice Research Center (DBNRRC), located in Stuttgart, AR, has a requirement for Generator Maintenance Services.
2.0 Objectives
2.1 Generator and Fire Pump Engine Maintenance Services.
2.2 The required maintenance services will include four generators and a fire pump engine.
2.3 This service contract will be performed in quarterly intervals.
2.4 This service contract will include a new 600 kw Cummins generator that is under warranty and will require Cummins proprietary software for the software updates.
3.0 Generators and Fire Pump Engine
3.1 Cummins Generator: Model DOCA 2310177, Serial Number 1240375814.
3.1.1 This generator is currently under warranty and will require Cummins proprietary software.
3.2 Cummins Generator: Model GGHG-5775033, Serial Number I060967841.
3.3 Marathon Generator: Model 431PSL6202, Serial Number MT-0073784.
3.4 Kohler Generator: Model 30REOZJB, Serial Number 0766493.
3.5 Fire Pump, John Deere, Model 4045HF280, Engine Serial Number PE4045L253653.
4.0 Minimum Quarterly Maintenance
4.1 The following components must be included in the quarterly maintenance schedule.
4.1.1 Batteries and Battery Charger.
4.1.2 Fuel Systems.
4.1.3 Cooling Systems.
4.1.4 Lubrication Systems.
4.1.5 Genset Controls and Accessories.
4.1.6 Intake and Exhaust Systems.
4.1.7 Transfer Switches.
4.1.8 Software Updates.
5.0 Period of Performance/Schedule
5.1 Maintenance must be performed quarterly during the hours of 7:30 am, through 4:00 pm local time excluding Federal holidays.
5.2 The period of performance will be 12-months from the notice to proceed with four 1-year optional periods.
