About this file

This document is Attachment A - Scope of Work, Specifications, and Criteria for an English Language Development (ELD) Curriculum Request for Proposals (RFP) by Poudre School District R-1. The district is seeking comprehensive or supplemental curriculum solutions for direct English Language Development instruction that aligns with Colorado Academic Standards. The RFP targets curriculum for Multilingual Learners (MLs) across K-12, with a specific focus on newcomer students (those new to the country within the last 3 years with WIDA Screener/ACCESS scores between 1.0-2.4), and students at various English language proficiency levels. The district requires instructional materials, online resources, technology, professional learning opportunities, and support materials for approximately 81 teachers, 64 sections, and 1,600 students, with the intent to use the selected materials for up to a 10-year period.

The proposal requires vendors to provide detailed pricing for initial purchases of instructional materials, technology, and online resources, along with pricing structures for subsequent purchases to accommodate potential enrollment increases. Vendors must also submit a comprehensive proposal including a curriculum title and description, ISBN numbers, technology descriptions, training and professional learning opportunities, and a vendor profile. The district seeks materials that meet federal and state English Language Development instructional compliance, with preference for curriculum that supports newcomers, provides intervention strategies, and offers academic language and writing support. The RFP emphasizes the need for culturally sustaining materials that provide multimodal learning opportunities, support different language proficiency levels, and include robust assessment and engagement strategies.
