About this file

This is an RFP Scoring Matrix for Metroparks Toledo in Ohio, detailing the evaluation criteria for selecting a contractor to provide preventative maintenance and repair services for the ice rink refrigeration system at The Ribbon at Glass City Riverwalk. The matrix establishes the weighted scoring categories and point allocations used to assess and rank submitted proposals. The evaluation framework guides the selection process by defining specific technical, operational, and qualifications-based criteria against which all bidder responses will be measured.

The scoring matrix provides the standardized methodology for comparing competing bids on a consistent basis, ensuring transparency and objectivity in contractor selection. By pre-establishing evaluation criteria and their relative weights, the matrix enables Metroparks Toledo to assess proposals systematically based on factors such as contractor qualifications, experience with refrigeration systems, safety compliance capabilities, maintenance approach, pricing competitiveness, and other relevant performance indicators. This structured approach supports the procurement process for a critical facility maintenance contract requiring licensed technicians capable of meeting OSHA, EPA, and local code requirements while managing hazardous refrigerants and implementing comprehensive safety protocols at the ice rink facility.
