D. Key Tasks
a. CHWP #1, #2, #3, #4, #5:
i. All five pumps are 40hp and are controlled by VFDs.
ii. They are all currently powered by panelboard 01_PB_10E6P, which is an 800A, 208Y/120V normal power panelboard located in the same room, BE-27, of Building 01. 01_PB_10E6P is fed from switchboard 46_SB_46-W, which is one of the two main switchboards in Building 46.
iii. The service load calculation for these five pumps is as follows:
114A*1.25 (largest motor) + 114A*4 (other remaining motors) = 598.5A
iv. It was determined that there were no existing equipment branch panelboards or switchboards that could accommodate this additional load.
v. Panelboard 01_PB_10E6P shall be converted to an equipment branch panelboard and would be renamed 01_PB_EB10E6P.
1. The feeder from 46_SB_46-W to 01_PB_10E6P shall be disconnected and removed.
2. The 60A, 208V, 1Ø feeder that feeds Building 53 from circuits 2 and 4 in panelboard 01_PB_10E6P will have to be relocated to be fed out of panelboard 01_PB_10E7, which is located in the same room (BE-27) as 01_PB_10E6P.
a. The 30A, 3 pole spare breaker in circuits 35, 37, 39 will have to be removed.
b. A new 60A, 2 pole breaker will have to be installed in
01_PB_10E7.

c. The 60A feeder conduit and conductors will have to be intercepted and re-routed to terminate at 01_PB10E7, which is located about 3 feet on center from 01_PB_10E6P.
3. A new 208Y/120V, 600A automatic transfer switch, 01_AT_EB10E6P, shall be installed to feed the converted equipment branch panelboard 01_PB_EB10E6P.
a. 01_AT_EB10E6P shall be installed in room 2D-12, oriented so its back is to the metal grate mezzanine and between the two flights of stairs connected to the mezzanine. 2D-12 was selected because the ATS must be located in a room that sits above the flood plain.
b. The normal power source of the ATS will be from 46_SB_46-W. The existing breaker 46_FB_10E6P shall be relabeled as 46_FB_ATS-EB10E6P. The existing breaker’s long-time pickup shall be adjusted from 1.0 to 0.75, or the next lowest setting, to account for the new feeder being rated 600A rather than 800A.
The feeder shall be (2) parallel 3” conduits, each carrying 4 #350 (3 hot and a neutral), and a #1 ground conductor.
c. The emergency power source of the ATS will be from 46_SB_46-EE. A new 600A, 3 pole breaker will need to be installed. The feeder shall be (2) parallel 3” conduits, each carrying 4 #350 (3 hot and a neutral), and a #1 ground conductor.
4. A new 600A feeder shall be installed between the new transfer switch, 01_AT_EB10E6P and the converted panelboard, 01_PB_EB10E6P. The feeder shall be (2) parallel 3” conduits, each carrying 4 #350 (3 hot and a neutral), and a #1 ground conductor.
b. Pumps #8/#9:
i. Both pumps are located in BA-01 Mechanical Room of Building 46.
ii. Both are powered by motor control center 46_MC_MCC-46, which is rated for 800A, 208Y/120V and is located in BA-01 Mechanical Room. 46_MC_MCC-46 is fed from switchboard 46_SB_46-W, which is one of the two main switchboards in Building 46.
iii. The nearest equipment branch power source is 46_MC_MCC-3B.
46_MC_MCC-3B is located immediately adjacent to 46_MC_MCC- 46 in the BA-01 Mechanical Room and is rated for 800A, 208Y/120V.
iv. Pumps #8 and #9 shall be powered from 46_MC_MCC-3B.
1. 46_MC_MCC-3B and 46_MC_MCC-46 are identical make and model motor control centers. Therefore, the two buckets that contain the circuit breakers for Pump #8 and Pump #9 can be swapped with two spare buckets of equal size in 46_MC_MCC-3B, which would leave 46_MC_MCC-46 with two additional spare buckets.
2. The conduit and wire that powers Pump #8 and Pump #9 shall be intercepted and rerouted to terminate at 46_MC_MCC-3B. Any unused conduit and wire leftover shall be disconnected and removed.
c. Pumps #12/#13:
