A site visit will take place at 10:00am ET on January 20, 2026, at the NIST Gaithersburg, MD campus. The site visit shall begin promptly at 10:00 AM ET and will allow interested vendors to inspect the liquid nitrogen tanks and the spaces where they reside. Only one site visit will be conducted, and vendors are strongly encouraged to attend. In no event shall failure to attend the site visit constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Attendees shall convene at NIST, Building 215, Entrance Area, 100 Bureau Drive, Gaithersburg, MD.
In the event that unforeseen weather conditions lead to the cancellation of this site visit, it will be rescheduled for the alternative site visit time/date of 10:00AM ET, January 22, 2026.
In order to attend the site visit, all visitors must, either:
1) Have a NIST issued badge, or

For non-US Citizens, the following additional information will be required:

It is the sole responsibility of each vendor to register for the site visit. Failure to register will result in individuals being denied access to NIST, and subsequently, the site visit.
Vendors must pick up a Visitor's Badge at the Visitor's Registration Center located at the Main Gate (Gate A, off Bureau Drive). Please ensure all individuals bring photo identification or they will be denied access to the facility.
Under the REAL ID Act of 2005, agencies, including NIST, can only accept a state-issued driver’s license or identification card for access to federal facilities if issued by states that are REAL ID compliant or have an extension.
NIST currently accepts other forms of federally issued identification in lieu of a state-issued driver’s license, such as a valid Passport; Passport Card; DOD’s Common Access Card (CAC); Veterans ID; Federal Agency HSPD-12 IDs; Military Dependents ID; or Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
