About this file
This attachment details the Montrose Campus Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) permit requirements under New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) SPDES Permit NY0021326. The document specifies comprehensive effluent monitoring and discharge limitations for the facility's outfall into the Hudson River, including monthly and daily parameters for flow, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), suspended solids, pH, coliform bacteria, and other environmental metrics. Key operational requirements include seasonal disinfection from May 1st to October 1st, with ongoing commissioning of a new Trojan UV System expected to modify the plant's chlorination process. Monitoring frequencies range from daily to monthly, with specific sampling types including continuous recording, composite, and grab samples at both influent and effluent locations. The vendor is expected to incorporate the new UV system and its operational changes into their proposal, ensuring compliance with stringent environmental discharge standards.

Vendor shall incorporate into their proposal newly installed Trojan UV System; commissioning of system is on-going and expected to be completed by the end of 2019. Once finalized and operational, the system will affect requirements for the plant chlorination process. Vendor shall incorporate these expected changes to the plant operation into their proposal.
