About this file
This document is an Attachment A - Minimum Mandatory Requirements spreadsheet for an Invitation for Bid (IFB #08222025MC) issued by University of Utah Health for kitchen equipment procurement. The IFB seeks a qualified vendor to supply ovens, braising pans, and water filtration systems for the Main Hospital Kitchen, with specific technical and service requirements. The bid process involves vendors completing a detailed compliance matrix indicating their ability to meet eleven mandatory requirements, which will be evaluated on a pass/fail basis. Vendors must provide RCI Certified Installation, warranty coverage (2-year parts and labor for ovens and braising pans, 5-year Steam Generator Warranty), pre-installation consultation, equipment storage, delivery coordination, on-site installation assistance, and maintain a brick-and-mortar storefront within 50 miles of the delivery location.
The procurement opportunity includes comprehensive service expectations beyond equipment supply, such as the Chef Assistance Program (CAP), equipment receiving and storage, unpacking and inspection, and potential replacement or repair coordination. Vendors failing to meet any of the eleven mandatory requirements will be deemed non-responsive and eliminated from further evaluation. The document suggests University of Utah Health is carefully screening potential vendors to ensure comprehensive support and technical compliance for their kitchen equipment upgrade, with a strategic approach that prioritizes installation quality, warranty coverage, and local vendor capabilities.
