About this file

Attachment A is a detailed specification document from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) for an Airfield Driving Simulator project in Florida. The contract requires the delivery, assembly, installation, testing, and certification of four individual airfield driving simulator systems and one instructor station. The simulators must include a comprehensive virtual environment of Orlando International Airport (MCO), featuring a detailed Air Operations Area with runways, taxiways, aprons, ground service roads, and specific airport infrastructure including terminal buildings, hangars, and critical airport facilities. The system must simulate various aircraft (including Boeing and Airbus models), ground vehicles, and environmental conditions such as weather variations, lighting changes, and realistic traffic movement.

The technical specifications outline extensive requirements for the simulator's visual database, including precise modeling of airport elements like runway markings, signage, lighting systems, navigation equipment, and perimeter structures. The system must support radio communications and provide training for Aviation Authority personnel on system operations, hardware maintenance, and troubleshooting. While specific pricing details are not provided, the contract emphasizes the need for high-fidelity simulation with capabilities to import 3D geometry, use real-life aircraft and vehicle liveries, and create a highly realistic training environment for airfield driving scenarios. The project appears to be focused on enhancing airport personnel training through advanced simulation technology.
