This document is Attachment A specifying the salient characteristics and technical requirements for a Ballistic Armored Response Vehicle Platform.

The vehicle must be equipped with a 6.7L V-8 Turbo Diesel powertrain delivering a minimum of 350 horsepower at 3000 RPM and 800 foot-pounds of torque at 2000 RPM, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and electronic 4-wheel drive. Power-electrical systems must include dual-front and rear air conditioning and heating, two 320-amp alternators, dual 12 VDC batteries, LED strobe lights, a multi-tone siren/PA system with 200-watt speaker, interior white/red lens lights, a 2000-watt AC-DC power inverter, an intercom system, backup camera with monitor, minimum two rear interior electrical fans, and heated electric adjustable mirrors. The vehicle requires 335/85R20 run-flat tires rated to at least 70 MPH with 2-piece wheels and a compatible spare tire. The vehicle must operate across diverse terrain including mountainous, rocky, sandy, heavily wooded, and vegetated areas while meeting DOT regulations for over-road transport in New York, Florida, Texas, Arizona, California, and New Mexico.
