About this file

This document contains a Local Compensation Plan (LCP) issued by USAID Honduras and a related federal contract opportunity notice.

The LCP provides salary ranges in both local currency and US dollars for Foreign Service National positions at USAID Honduras from grades 1 through 12. It includes information on standard employee benefits such as medical insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and incentive awards. Sample categories are provided to help relate the salary ranges to common job types such as janitor, driver, receptionist, secretary, and project management roles. The contract opportunity is a solicitation from USAID Honduras seeking professional and technical services to implement the "Effective Justice to Combat Criminality and Corruption Activity" over an estimated five-year period. Services will reduce impunity, criminality, and corruption in Honduras through advancing an independent and effective criminal justice system that increases state legitimacy, civil society oversight, and citizen support for the rule of law. The award will consist of both cost reimbursement and indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract types.

USAID/HONDURAS

LOCAL COMPENSATION PLAN EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 13, 2020

(40 hours Workweek)

Many firms use the U.S. Embassy’s Local Compensation plan as a basis for estimating local labor costs.

This is based on the concept that the U.S. Embassy & USAID pay reasonable salaries. Both Position Classification and Compensation are applied to determine the reasonableness of an individual position’s salary under the system used by USAID and the Embassy.

The following pay ranges reflect the approximate equivalent base salary paid by the U.S. Government. In addition to this salary, the employees receive benefits normally required under the Honduran Labor Law.
