About this file
This is an Indian Affairs Indian Economic Enterprise Representation Form used by the Department of the Interior to certify that an offeror meets the definition of an "Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE)" under the Buy Indian Act (25 U.S.C. 47) and Department of the Interior Acquisition Regulation (DIAR) Part 1480.
The form requires offerors to self-certify their IEE status by providing the solicitation or sources sought number, project title, date of form submission, name of the federally recognized tribal entity, legal business name, unique entity ID (UEI), and the name of the 51% or greater owner of the IEE firm. An authorized representative must sign and print their name to complete the certification. The enterprise must maintain IEE eligibility at three critical points: at the time of offer submission, at contract award, and throughout the full contract term. Contracting Officers may request additional documentation of eligibility at any point during the acquisition lifecycle, including pre-award evaluation. The form includes warnings that false or misleading information constitutes a violation under 18 U.S.C. 1001, with false claims during contract performance subject to penalties under 31 U.S.C. 3729-3731 and 18 U.S.C. 287.
