Jet Dock Care and Maintenance

Prior to using the Jet Dock System for HSB Docking:

1. Ver i fy that the Winch Line is free of cuts, frays, etc and that is suitable for tensioning.

Replace all frayed or brittle lines PRIOR to use.

2. Perform a visual inspection of all Dock Modular Assemblies (Cubes), alignment skids and guides for any obvious damage and ensure free from any debris and marine growth.

3. Using the Power Head Assembly, Vent the docking system by opening the port and starboard vent valves ensuring it is flooded (Lowered position) and free of all debris for docking the Moose Boat and follow proper drive-on instructions.

When the craft is off the Jet Dock for an extended period of time (More than 48 hours):

The intent is to minimize stress on the attachment hardware which secures the airlift components to the dock components and keep Modular Assemblies (Cubes) surfaces clean.

1. With craft off the dock, pressurize the pontoons using the airlift pump enough to raise the stern portions of the dock surface above the waterline.

2. When craft is ready to be dry-docked again, follow proper drive-on instructions.

Night Storage Docking (Boat on dock):

1. When Docking the HSB for the Night Storage position:

(a) Confirm the craft is completely out of the water.

(b) Confirm that ALL dock surfaces are out of the water and free of marine growth.

2. When the craft is in the Night Storage Position, make certain that ALL tension has been removed from the Winch Line and that a properly calibrated Tension Relief Line (TRL) has been connected to your craft.

Regular Monthly (Preventative Maintenance):

1. Jet Dock Systems Incorporated, (JDSI) recommends all craft/dock contact surfaces, including the bunks, be regularly cleaned with soap and water to prevent accumulation of abrasive particles that can mar the craft’s surface. If you notice increased difficulty in launching your craft, it could be a result of debris on contact points.

2. Inspect and Verfiy the ‘Piling Hoop’ modular assemblies and tubular bunk fend-offs, are secure and free of dibris.

3. Inspect and Verify that all Interior Bunk Hardware is secure.

4. Inspect and Verify that all Wear Plate Hardware is secure.

5. Inspect and Verify interior fastener nylon nut/bolt assemblies are secure.

6. Inspect and Lubricate Interior Bunks as needed with spray such as Liquid Rollers. Do not spray directly to Bunks. Spray on cloth and apply cloth across the contact surfaces.

7. Inspect and Lubricate the galvanized winch with a MARINE rust inhibitive spray such as MO-10.

8. Inspect and Replace the Boat Tie-Down Lines as needed.

9. Inspect and Replace Winch Line with suitable line, if needed.

Every Two Years (Preventative Maintenance):

1. With coordination for crane services, detach and remove the lifting portion of the HSB dock system from the water and place on the pier for cleaning, inspections and hardware replacement.

2. Thoroughly clean the docking system to include the all Modular Assemblies (Cubes), Support Beams, Pontoon Guide Beams, Beam connection Hardware and the pontoons to ensure removal of silt within the pontoons that would affect operation.

3. Replace airlift pump within Power Head, air supply hoses from power head to pontoons and all pontoon straps.

4. Inspect and Replace all beam hardware under Jet Dock system as needed for continued reliable operation.
