About this file
This document is a preconstruction risk assessment checklist for the renovation of an auditorium and room C1202 at a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center. The scope of work includes renovations to accommodate new audiovisual equipment installations. Key risks addressed in the checklist include asbestos, lead-based paint, dust control, fire and smoke walls, moisture, vapors, noise, vibration, electrical modifications, traffic flow, proximity to air intakes and patients, and compliance with infection control, industrial hygiene, and safety requirements. Sign-off is required from project engineers, safety officers, infection control staff, and other subject matter experts to ensure all necessary precautions are implemented before work commences on the renovation.
