About this file

This document is a questionnaire template designed to assess investigatory writing skills for the National EEO Investigative Services Office of the United States Postal Service.

The questionnaire requires respondents to review a sample EEO case file comprising an EEO Basics Packet (pages 2-34) and a Sample Case (pages 35-121), then answer 21 questions demonstrating comprehension and analytical ability. Questions 1-10 request identification of key case information including formal file date, initial contact date, complainant name and representative details, management officials named, theories of discrimination, accepted purviews/bases, and accepted issues/claims. Questions 11-15 require narrative summaries of the complainant's and management official's versions of events for the first claim, identification of the non-discriminatory business reason for management action, naming of any comparators with detailed descriptions, and listing of relevant exhibits with explanations of their significance. Questions 16-20 parallel this structure for a second claim. Question 21 asks what remedy the complainant requested. Responses must be presented in narrative form where requested, with attention to grammar, punctuation, and accuracy regarding names and dates. The completed questionnaire must be saved with the filename format "YourLastName YourFirstName Questionnaire." This is an assessment tool rather than a solicitation document.
