About this file

This is a Pile Driving Report Form developed by Sarasota County, Florida for documenting the installation of navigational aid markers as part of the county's Navigational Aid Repair Project. The form serves as the primary deliverable for contractors undertaking the replacement of six navigational aid markers across three distinct county waterways: three markers in the San Remo Channel, one marker in the Big Pass Channel, and two regulatory markers in the Lido Key Channel near Big Pass. The project must be completed within thirty calendar days of the County's Notice to Proceed, with a bid submission deadline of February 27, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. No bidders' conference or mandatory site visit is specified in the solicitation. The form requires contractors to document installation details for each marker, including project identification, installation date, marker location coordinates, piling type and length, driving method, pile embedment depth, substrate composition, water depth, equipment used, and the length of excess pile removed, with a certification statement affirming the accuracy of all submitted information. Last updated on March 24, 2023, this form is integral to compliance verification and ensures that all pilings meet marine construction standards with a minimum ten-foot ground penetration.

Pricing for this Quick Quote procurement is structured as a single lump sum line item with a maximum threshold of $50,000; any quotes exceeding this amount will not be considered, and the County reserves the right to cancel and re-solicit if all quotes exceed this limit. Successful contractors must demonstrate at least two references from different entities with marine navigational aid marker experience and must have at least one employee holding an active Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation license as a Certified Marine Specialty Contractor, Certified Marine Pile Driving Specialty Contractor, or Certified General Contractor. Contractors are required to maintain comprehensive insurance coverage throughout the contract term, including Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 each occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate), Business Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit), and Marine Liability insurance ($1,000,000 each occurrence) if vessels are utilized, with all carriers maintaining an A.M. Best's Financial Strength Rating of A- Class VII or better. The County may purchase additional quantities of navigational aid marker replacements at the quoted unit price for up to one year following award, provided total purchases do not exceed the $50,000 cap.
