About this file

This is a GIS map document produced by Sarasota County, Florida, depicting Waterway Zone 3 and associated tasks for a navigational aid repair project within County waterways. The map illustrates three distinct task areas across Roberts Bay, Sarasota Bay, and surrounding waterway zones, with Zone 3 specifically highlighted to show the geographic locations where work activities will be performed. The aerial imagery, dated December 1, 2024 through January 13, 2025, provides 3-inch resolution reference data using North American Datum 1983 HARN State Plane Florida West coordinates. The Quick Quote procurement (2026-QQ-644) requires replacement of six navigational aid markers across three channels: three markers in San Remo Channel, one marker in Big Pass Channel, and two regulatory markers in Lido Key Channel near Big Pass. All work must be completed within thirty calendar days of the County's Notice to Proceed. Bid submissions were due February 27, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., with questions closing on February 25, 2026. No bidders' conference or mandatory site visit was specified.

Pricing for this project is structured as a single lump sum line item with a maximum threshold of $50,000; quotes exceeding this amount will not be considered. The County reserves the right to purchase additional navigational aid marker replacements at the quoted unit price for up to one year following award, provided total purchases do not exceed the $50,000 limit. No set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises or participation restrictions were specified, allowing all responsive and responsible bidders to compete. Successful bidders must demonstrate minimum qualifications including at least two references from different entities with marine navigational aid marker experience and at least one employee holding an active Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation license as a Certified Marine Specialty Contractor or equivalent. Contractors must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 each occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate), Business Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit), and Marine Liability insurance ($1,000,000 each occurrence) if vessels are utilized, with Sarasota County named as additional insured and carriers maintaining A.M. Best's Financial Strength Rating of A- Class VII or better.
