About this file
This document is a question and answer (Q&A) addendum from the Department of the Air Force's Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, providing clarifying details about a potential HVAC cleaning project. The document specifies that the project involves AHU-2 (Air Handling Unit-2), located in the basement's Mech Room 2 on the west side, with a supply capacity of 42,020 CFM and serial number DK1974, and encompasses cleaning vents and cuts on the entire 2nd floor of building 11A. Key clarifications include: contractors are not to cut into hard surfaces (though drop ceilings exist), no exhaust system cleaning is required, no testing or air monitoring is needed, repairs and replacements are outside the project scope, and the area contains modular and wood office furniture. Several details remain unknown, such as the number of VAV boxes, square footage, and number of returns and supplies.
