About this file

This document is a Contractor Certification form requiring contractors working with the Department of Veterans Affairs to comply with immigration laws and indemnify the government against potential claims or damages. The certification mandates that contractors:

  1. Adhere to Immigration and Nationality Act provisions, ensuring they do not knowingly employ illegal aliens or foreign nationals in violation of their immigration status, 2) Comply with E-Verify requirements under Executive Order 12989, and 3) Agree that failure to meet these requirements could result in prohibition of foreign national workers from VA service locations and potential contract termination. The document also includes an indemnification clause holding the contractor liable for any property damage, injury, or death arising from the contractor's fault, negligence, or omissions. Contractors must sign the document, affirming their understanding and commitment to these legal and operational requirements.
