About this file
This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Wage and Hour Division. The document applies to federal service contracts in Montana counties including Carter, Custer, Daniels, Dawson, Fallon, Garfield, McCone, Phillips, Powder River, Prairie, Richland, Roosevelt, Rosebud, Sheridan, Treasure, Valley, and Wibaux. The wage determination (No. 2015-5395, Revision 27, effective 12/03/2025) establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for service contract employees across approximately 200 occupation codes spanning administrative, automotive, food service, furniture maintenance, health, information technology, instructional, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant and system operations, protective services, recreation, and transportation occupations. Hourly rates range from $10.63 (Waiter/Waitress) to $57.18 (Nuclear Medicine Technologist), with most positions between $15-$35 per hour.
All listed occupations receive mandatory fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly) for health and welfare, or an alternative rate of $5.09 per hour under Executive Order 13706 for paid sick leave compliance. Additional benefits include two weeks paid vacation after one year of service, three weeks after five years, and four weeks after 15 years, plus a minimum of eleven paid holidays annually. Certain positions with footnote designations receive additional compensation including night differential and Sunday premium pay for air traffic controllers and weather observers, and hazardous pay differentials of 4-8 percent for employees working with explosives and ordnance. Uniform allowances of $3.35 per week are provided where required. Computer professional employees and positions requiring special certifications are subject to specific exemptions and compliance procedures outlined in the regulation. Contractors must submit conformance requests on Standard Form 1444 for unlisted occupations requiring wage determination.
