About this file

This is a Supplementary Statement of Work (SOW) for the installation of a new communications shelter at Boot Mountain on the Del Norte Ranger District, Rio Grand National Forest. The contractor must provide all materials and services to complete the installation of a PEPRO LLC CLP2 Dual Bay micro shelter with an integrated 20-foot articulating mast at coordinates Lat 37N 55' 13.54" Long 106W 32' 28.93". The shelter must include specific equipment including two standard CLP2 equipment racks, rack-mounted battery trays capable of supporting four Deka Solar 84 Amp Hour AGM batteries, rack-mounted bus bar, filtered DC entry port, surge protection devices rated for 12VDC solar array, passive ventilation ports, solar panel mounting provisions, doors on East and West faces, and double 18" mounts for two Telewave ANT150F2 antennas at 20' height.

The shelter design requires compliance with nationally recognized building and electrical codes, include a faraday cage for equipment protection, have an RF entry panel with 3 ports supporting two LMR 600 cables, and be deployable on bare unimproved land without excavation or foundation construction using Ufer pad grounding. The contractor must deliver the shelter to 1055 9th Street, Del Norte, CO 81132 at least 4 weeks prior to installation and coordinate helicopter logistics for installation at the remote site (accessible by road plus 3 miles by ATV or helicopter only). Additionally, the contractor must demolish and dispose of the existing 5'x5'x5' shelter weighing approximately 1,200 pounds in accordance with applicable environmental regulations while ensuring no damage to remaining structures or equipment.
