About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service Bitterroot National Forest project focused on fire ring replacement and accessibility improvements at developed recreation sites.
The contractor is required to fabricate 70 steel fire rings according to specified standards and deliver them to two Montana locations: 35 units to Stevensville Ranger Station (88 Main St, Stevensville, MT 59870) and 35 units to Darby Ranger Station (712 N Main, Darby, MT 59829). Fire rings must meet Forest Service Outdoor Recreation Accessibility Guidelines and NT&DP 1523-2811-MTDC Oct. 2015 specifications, measuring 30-34 inches in overall diameter and constructed from 3/16-inch thick steel with a formed 1-inch flanged lip and ten-inch diameter draft holes around the perimeter. Each ring requires a cooking grate constructed from 5/8-inch diameter A36 steel bars for the perimeter, ¾-inch A36 bars for handles, and ½-inch A36 bars for grate bars, with spring grips on both handles and a hinged attachment allowing complete freedom of movement. All units must be finished in high-temperature, heat-resistant, non-toxic black enamel. The contractor bears full responsibility for fabrication, quality inspection, transportation, and unloading of materials. The Government furnishes no transportation, equipment, or materials. Delivery is required no later than the contract period performance date. Key personnel requirements, security requirements, data rights, and Section 508 compliance are not applicable to this contract.
