About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract opportunity involving a chiller repair at JBSA Lackland's Building 6330 Graduation center. The Q&A addresses key contract details including warranty terms, tax exemption, bonding requirements, and documentation. Contractors asked about the standard warranty length, with the government indicating they will consider a one-year warranty but are open to pricing for a five-year option. The contract is confirmed to be tax-free, and no bid bonds or performance bonds are required. The government specified that no pre-construction submittals are needed, only warranty documents, and no training will be included in the package. The contracting agency will have a CE HVAC technician onsite during startup, and a data plate photo for the chiller equipment is available in Attachment 4 of the solicitation documents.
