About this file

This document is a technical specification for picnic table design for the Bitterroot National Forest. The picnic tables require two end frames per unit, must comply with Forest Service Outdoor Recreation Accessibility Guidelines, and are designed to withstand a ground snow load of 105.7 lb/ft sq or greater. The metal frames will be powder coated in dark brown and constructed with one-piece welded end frames using 3"x6" rectangular steel tubing (1/4" or thicker) for top and seat supports, and 2.5" square steel tubing (1/4" or thicker) for connectors. The specification explicitly notes that no planks are included, and only metal frames will be supplied, with holes drilled for 3/8" diameter bolts. Detailed technical drawings provide precise measurements, showing the table's overall dimensions and frame construction, with the table measuring 59 1/4" in height and 41 3/4" in width.
