About this file
This document is an attachment providing instructions for site access to the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Manhattan, Kansas. It outlines the process for individuals to submit information for a one-year background check through a third-party security system at no cost. The document also requires visitors to provide specific information, such as full legal name, company name, phone number, and address, which will be used to submit a Visitor Request Form 36. Both the background check and visitor request form take approximately 72 hours to process following submission.
The related federal contract opportunity is for Evoqua Water Softener and Resin Tank Upgrades on six double tank water softener systems for the NBAF in Manhattan, Kansas. This is a firm fixed-price purchase order solicitation with a June 18, 2024, response deadline. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose quote conforms to the specifications and is most advantageous to the government, considering technical acceptance, past performance, and price.

For anyone requesting access to site you will need to have them personally submit information for NBAF Security through a new online system for a 1yr background check, this is at no cost to you. Below is the information with a link to where you will submit your background request. Please do this as soon as possible to ensure we give ample time for the system to process.
Please follow the link provided, https://redtailsecurity.com/corp/NBAF, to personally submit your information for background vetting. Redtail is a third party system that we have partnered with to meet the required vetting for visitors to our campus. We have been ensured your personal data will remain safe and secure and, as this is a direct submission by our visitors, will eliminate the need for USDA staff to view your personal data for submissions.
The webpage gives step-by-step instructions and you will be able to view the clearance of your investigation. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our security department. They will do their best to assist you through this process.
In addition to the background request, I will need to submit a Visitor Request Form 36 on your behalf with one of my Project Managers as a sponsor. Below I have outlined the necessary information I will need you to return to myself to complete this request. Please note both of these items take about 72 hours to process following submission. Thank you.
