About this file

This document outlines the process for transitioning a module to sustainment with the Department of Veterans Affairs Digital Transformation Center. It details the steps a system integrator must complete to request moving a module from the development stage to sustainment, including notifying the DTC of the planned transition at least two months in advance by opening a helpdesk case. It also provides guidance on assessment forms the SI must complete and submit regarding sustainment readiness and module stability. To be considered ready for sustainment, the module must meet criteria such as being deployed to production for at least one month with no significant planned changes, containing no critical bugs or security defects, and having end user documentation and testing documentation created. The business owner must also sign off on functionality and the user experience in production. Enhancement requests not meeting the sustainment criteria would require a separate marketplace product request.
