About this file
This is a Delivery and Installation Instructions attachment for an Informal Competitive Solicitation issued by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for Calipatria State Prison, located at 7018 Blair Road, Calipatria, CA 92233. The solicitation requests procurement of ten vending machines consisting of five frozen food vending machines, two slim combo snack/drink vending machines, and three wide combo snack/drink vending machines. The machines are to be distributed across nine locations within the facility including visiting yards, security areas, a parking lot, and staff entrance. Delivery and installation must be completed within 35 calendar days after receipt of order, with scheduling coordinated at least two weeks in advance. All equipment must be newly manufactured, delivered by truck with lift-gate capability, set in place and banded together, tested for proper operation, and accompanied by staff training on operational features and preventative maintenance procedures. The contractor must remove nine existing vending machines identified by barcode and either provide a trade-in value or arrange for recycling of the old equipment.
The contractor bears full responsibility for furnishing all necessary components, completing delivery and installation per manufacturer specifications, and obtaining required security clearances and facility approval. Invoices will only be signed upon completion of all purchase order requirements and must include detailed descriptions of each unit including delivery location, brand, model, serial number, and warranty information. Payment will be delayed if barcodes from removed equipment are not returned with the invoice. The contractor must notify the department within ten days if delivery terms cannot be met as specified. Failure to comply with delivery requirements may result in contract termination for default. Substitution of equipment is prohibited without advance written consent from the buyer, and all goods are subject to inspection and potential rejection by the State.
