About this file

This is a Delivery and Installation Requirements attachment for a Small Business solicitation issued by the State of California for vending machine equipment at the Enoch Christoffersen Roadside Rests located on Highway 99 in Turlock, CA. The project requires delivery and installation of vending machines at both northbound and southbound roadside rest stops, with each location receiving one hot coffee machine, one frozen food/ice cream machine, three snack machines, and four drink machines (three "Blue Refresh" live displays and one "Black Ice" waterfall model). The vending machines will be integrated into the structures to serve as exterior walls and must be securely strapped together with steel straps and framed with wood or metal to prevent unauthorized removal. Installation must be completed within 5 weeks (35 calendar days) after receipt of order, with all scheduling coordinated a minimum of 2 weeks in advance through the BEC Vendor and BEC. The contractor must provide all necessary components, including delivery, installation per manufacturer specifications, removal of 18 existing machines, staff training on operational features and maintenance procedures, testing for proper function, and disposal of all packaging materials and existing equipment.

The quote must include removal and disposal costs for existing machines, with trade-in value offered or documentation of recycling. All goods must be newly manufactured, and no substitutions are permitted without written consent from the buyer. The delivery truck must be equipped with a lift gate and pallet jack due to the absence of a loading dock and the approximately 6-inch discrepancy between the outer sidewalk and the vending machine structure floor. Invoices will be signed upon completion of all purchase order requirements and must include detailed information for each unit, including delivery location, address, brand, model, serial number, and warranty details. Barcodes from existing machines must be removed and returned with the invoice; payment will be delayed if barcodes are not received. Failure to comply with delivery requirements may constitute a breach of contract and result in termination, and the contractor must notify BEC within 10 days if delivery terms cannot be met.
