The contract requires the selected supplier to deliver, install, and make operational all equipment within 35 calendar days after receipt of order. Additionally, the supplier must arrange removal of 18 existing vending machines via trade-in or recycling. The supplier is responsible for coordinating directly with the visually impaired operator to confirm machine configuration, labels, and selections prior to delivery.
The contract includes a 90-day labor warranty period from the date of original installation, during which all vending machine parts and labor for setup, programming, training, and warranty repairs or maintenance will be provided at no charge by the supplier. All machines must comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standards, California Appliance Efficiency Regulations, EPA/DOE Energy Star Version 3.0 standards, and ANSI/NSF standards for hot beverage machines. The supplier must honor all manufacturers' warranties and guarantees and provide service during normal business hours to maintain equipment in optimal operating condition. Any subcontractors utilized for delivery, installation, or warranty work remain under the supplier's full responsibility and must comply with all manufacturer-recommended practices and state procurement requirements. The document notes that brand name references are descriptive but not restrictive; equivalent items meeting specified quality standards will be considered if the bidder clearly describes the alternative offering and explains how it differs from the referenced brand.
