This is a cleaning checklist document issued by the Missouri Office of Administration, Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction for janitorial services at the Harry S Truman State Office Building. The document outlines comprehensive cleaning requirements organized by frequency: daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual tasks. Daily responsibilities include emptying trash containers, cleaning glass surfaces on doors and windows, vacuuming entrance mats, spot cleaning carpets, thoroughly sweeping hard floors, vacuuming elevator cabs, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, sanitizing kitchens and breakrooms, cleaning drinking fountains, removing cobwebs, and maintaining detailed daily logs. Weekly tasks expand to include deep carpet cleaning via wet extraction, machine scrubbing hard surfaces, cleaning handrail glass and brass hardware on multiple staircases, comprehensive restroom wall and floor cleaning, and emptying recycling bins through the Missouri State Recycling Program.
Monthly requirements encompass high-speed buffing of vinyl composite tile floors, deep cleaning atrium carpet areas, cleaning office suite entrance glass and specified conference room glass, dusting and cleaning venetian blinds, cleaning door frames and hardware, vacuuming vents and air diffusers up to twelve feet in height, and wiping flat surfaces throughout the facility. Semi-annual tasks include deep cleaning non-atrium carpet, stripping and refinishing or machine scrubbing finished floors with wax application, cleaning pipes and ductwork up to twelve feet high, dusting walls, cleaning wood doors and walls with Murphy Oil Soap or equivalent, and cleaning glass surfaces within office suites. Annual requirements specify cleaning of all restroom ceilings as requested by the state agency. The document has been revised per two prior amendments and specifies that certain cleaning agents such as Bullshot or Zap It must be approved by the state agency.
