About this file
This is a cleaning checklist attachment for janitorial services at the Harry S Truman State Office Building in Missouri, issued by the Office of Administration, Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction. The document outlines comprehensive daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual cleaning requirements for the facility. Daily tasks include emptying trash containers, cleaning glass surfaces at entrances and exits, vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets, thoroughly sweeping and machine scrubbing hard surface floors, cleaning and disinfecting elevators and restrooms, restocking dispensary items, cleaning break rooms and lactation rooms, and maintaining smoking receptacles. Weekly responsibilities expand to include deep carpet cleaning via wet extraction in elevators and entrance areas, machine scrubbing freight and dock elevator floors, cleaning handrail glass on spiral staircases, cleaning restroom walls and air diffusers, emptying recycling bins, and cleaning vending machines and brass baseboards. Monthly requirements include removing and cleaning entrance matting, high-speed buffing of vinyl composite tile floors, deep cleaning of atrium carpeted areas, cleaning office suite glass and conference room windows, dusting blinds and baseboards, cleaning vents and light fixtures, and wiping flat surfaces throughout the facility.
The semi-annual requirements mandate deep cleaning of all non-atrium carpet, stripping and refinishing finished floors with multiple coats of skid-proof wax, cleaning pipes and ductwork, dusting walls, cleaning wood doors and walls with Murphy Oil Soap, and cleaning interior glass surfaces in office suites. Annual requirements include cleaning all restroom ceilings as requested by the state agency.
