About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for an AMSCO 5052 Dental Washer Disinfector for the Wright Patterson Medical Center Dental Services Clinic. The SOW details comprehensive technical requirements for a washer disinfector capable of sanitizing 190 instrument trays daily, with specific design and performance specifications including a cabinet-style configuration, vertical sliding doors, pneumatic activation, and built-in safety systems. Key requirements include operating on steam (200-208V, 60Hz), maintaining temperatures of 82°C during wash and 90°C during thermal rinse, and having a three-level rack that can hold up to 18 total trays.

The document specifies extensive installation and testing requirements for the awarded contractor, including removing existing equipment, relocating water lines, installing electrical connections, and ensuring successful equipment startup. Accessories include a 3-level manifold rack, protocol printer, and transfer cart adapters. The washer must meet AAMI ST-79 standards for steam sterilization, include a minimum one-year warranty, and be capable of running at least 19 cycles per day with various wash cycle options. The procurement is being conducted through the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, with a delivery timeline of 120 days from date of award.

AMSCO 5052 Dental Washer Disinfector 17 April 2025

1. Introduction: The Wright Patterson Medical Center Dental Services Clinic is in need of a washer disinfector for the sanitization of 190 trays of instruments on a daily basis.

Without this capability they are unable to disinfect their instruments leading to the potential cancellation of Active duty and beneficiary appointments.

2. Background: The Dental washer prevents the spread of infection and cross contamination for our patients and staff. Our current washer is within its 3-year life expectancy and has undergone several unexpected repairs causing interoperability.

Without the washer we are forced to use a back-up process which is inefficient and cannot keep up with the demands of a large dental clinic. Having a properly functioning washer will provide an efficient and proper decontamination of all dental instruments and keep us in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC).
