About this file
This document is a Technical Specifications statement for the procurement of a Circular Geometry Machine (CGM) by the DLA Product Test Center Division, Mechanical Lab, VTM, located in Columbus, Ohio.
The CGM must be a new, turnkey system capable of performing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) evaluations including circular runout, total runout, concentricity, roundness, and cylindricity, while also reporting diameters and radius measurements. The system must automatically center and level with motorized CNC drives, achieve accuracy of .0001 inches, and measure angles. The work capability window must accommodate parts between 200 and 300 millimeters in diameter, with a minimum column height of 500 millimeters. The system must generate interactive reports and support automatic inspection routine creation. The contractor must supply all cables, computers, monitors, stands, and software, and must include three stylus balls (1 mm, 2 mm, and 4 mm) with the delivery. Training for five laboratory technicians for one day at the facility and initial calibration must be included in the purchase price, with calibration costs quoted as a separate line item. Delivery is required within 20 weeks from the award date to Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC), Building 17-3, marked for the Mechanical Lab at Building 9-1. All shipping costs must be included in the contracted price. The contractor must provide a minimum one-year warranty covering all repair and replacement costs from the installation date. Invoices must be submitted through the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system in accordance with DFARS requirements within 10 days after work completion. The primary point of contact is Tom Morley at Thomas.Morley@DLA.MIL or 614-693-0020.

DLA Weapons Support Engineering & Technical Support Directorate
DLA Product Test Center Division, Mechanical Lab, VTM
Objective:
This is a description of the DLA Product Test Center Division, Mechanical Lab, VTM, requirements for the procurement of a Circular Geometry Machine (CGM). It is the intent here to clearly define all required performance characteristics. In generating this statement, our objective is to end up with a CGM which expands our overall testing capability of inspecting parts, in both accuracy and efficiency. Because we want to maximize the ease of use some of the required features listed below will be specific. Our general objective is to minimize any impact to the DLA Product Test Center Division, Mechanical Lab, VTM, operations and our customers because of this procurement, especially with regards to test cycle time. This system will decrease time required to inspect parts.
General Requirements:
1. Circular Geometry Machine must be new, not refurbished.
2. Circular Geometry Machine must automatically center and level with motorized cnc drives.
3. Perform GD&T evaluations. (circular run out, total run out, concentricity, roundness, cylindricity) Also report diameters and radius.
4. Column height minimum of 500 mm.
5. System must be “turnkey” after setting up. Contractors must supply all cables, computers, monitors, stands, and software.
6. Training to be included in the purchase price. Five (5) Lab Techs will be trained one
